Our process, from first visit to final check

Six stages, and you always know which one you are in. The first is free, nothing is ordered until you have seen it in your own light, and the same team sees it through to the end.

Step by step

What actually happens

The part most people want to know before they let anyone into the house.

  1. In-home product consultation

    The first step is an in-home product consultation. We bring the mobile showroom to your house, so you can choose the designs, styles and types you like best before you buy. Every shutter, blind and shade comes along, with all our colors and fabrics, for you to look through.

    • We come to you, with the samples, at a time that suits you.
    • You see every color and fabric in the room it is going in, under your own light.
    • We measure every window while we are there.
    • You get the quote from that visit. Nothing is ordered on the day.

  2. Product selection

    With our team's expert advice and professional knowledge, we guide you through the selection process, helping you work through any obstacles or problems. Working together, we find the solution that fits your needs.

    • We talk through the trade-offs, not just the look. Light, privacy, insulation and cleaning all pull in different directions.
    • Awkward shapes are normal here. Arches, bays, corner windows and doors that have to keep opening.
    • If a room has a problem, we say so before you buy rather than after.

  3. Product ordering and delivery

    Unlike other businesses, we keep you updated at every step of the ordering and delivery process, so you never have to guess where things are.

    • Everything is made to your measurements, so it is built after you order rather than pulled off a shelf.
    • You hear from us when the order is placed and again when it arrives with us.
    • You should never have to call and ask where your order has got to.

  4. Install

    Using our professional installers, we make sure every item you ordered is fitted correctly and quickly. With over 20 years of experience, whether it is blinds, shutters or shades, we install it with an expertise you will not find anywhere else.

    • Our own installers, never subcontractors. The people who fit it work for us.
    • We clear up and take the packaging away with us.
    • We show you how everything works before we leave, including anything motorized.

  5. Follow-up consultation

    After the installation, we come back around for a quick check-up, to make sure everything you bought is meeting your expectations and doing what you need.

    • We check the fit has settled and everything still runs as it should.
    • Anything that is not sitting right gets adjusted then.
    • It is a visit we make anyway, not one you have to ask for.

  6. Platinum service agreement

    The Blind Guyz brand is synonymous with world-class products and award-winning service. Our limited lifetime warranty represents our dedication to your complete satisfaction.

    • A limited lifetime warranty, in writing, that you keep.
    • Read it before you buy. We would rather you compared it with anyone else's.
    • It is the part of this list we are most willing to be judged on.

Before you book

Letting someone into the house

It is the part nobody puts on a website, and it is the part people actually hesitate over. The consultation is one person, at a time you picked, with a case of samples. They measure, they answer questions, and they leave you with a quote.

Nobody asks you to sign anything on the day. There is no discount that disappears if you think about it overnight, because a price that only exists for an hour was never the real price. If you decide against it, that is the end of it and it has cost you nothing.

Warranties

Always get it in writing

If somebody claims to have a warranty, get it in writing. Read it carefully, because most of them are not worth the paper they are written on. Get a copy, and understand what is and is not covered.

It pays to compare. When you buy blinds, shutters or shades from us, you get the industry's best-written warranty, and we would rather you held it up against anyone else's before you decide.
