Window treatments in Griffin, GA
Griffin is the eastern edge of our service area and we are out there regularly. It is a bigger drive than most of our runs, which is exactly why we do the whole job in one visit rather than three.

The homes here
Older stock in town, newer out toward the lake
Griffin has a genuinely old core: mill-era houses and early twentieth century homes near downtown, with the tall narrow windows and the deep sills that come with that period. Those windows are worth treating properly, and they are usually a shutter or a wood blind rather than anything modern.
Out toward Heron Bay and Sun City Peachtree the picture is completely different: newer, larger, consistent, and often single-storey with a lot of rear glass onto a golf course or water. Those are homes where light control and glare are the whole conversation, and where motorization gets specified more often than people expect for a ranch layout. A wall of rear windows is tedious to adjust by hand whatever height it is at.
Because Griffin is our longest regular run, we do more in a single visit here. The measure, the samples and the quote all happen at once, and we schedule the fit as one job rather than coming back for a second room later.

Griffin is the far side of our area, so we plan the visit properly: one trip to measure and quote everything, not a return visit per room. If you are thinking about doing the house in stages, tell us at the first visit and we will price it that way.

What suits these homes
What we fit most often in Griffin
- Faux wood blinds
- The workhorse for the older housing near downtown. They handle humidity without warping, which matters in a house with original single glazing, and they look right in a period room.
- Solar and cellular shades
- For the rear glass in the newer developments. Solar shades keep the view onto the course or the water while cutting the glare; cellular shades add insulation where the room runs hot or cold.
- Motorized shades
- Worth it on a long run of rear windows regardless of height. One remote or one schedule beats adjusting eight blinds by hand every afternoon.
- Plantation shutters
- For the mill-era and early twentieth century houses near downtown. Tall narrow windows and deep sills are what shutters were designed around, and they suit those rooms better than anything modern.
