Window treatments in Senoia, GA
Senoia is a fifteen-minute run for us and it is the town where the window treatment matters most to the building. Between the historic district and the newer streets built to match it, almost every job here is about getting the period right.

The homes here
A town that takes its facades seriously
The houses along and around Main Street are the reason people move to Senoia and the reason the town looks the way it does on screen. Deep porches, tall narrow windows, a lot of original glass. The constraint on those houses is that whatever goes in the window is visible from the street, and a white vinyl blind in a 1900s sash undoes the front of the house from a hundred feet away.
The newer developments (Heritage Pointe and the streets built out toward Sharpsburg) were mostly designed to sit alongside that without pretending to be it. The windows are modern and consistent, but the elevations still lean traditional, so the treatments that suit them lean the same way.
In both cases the answer usually runs toward shutters, and the conversation is about stain versus paint and louver size rather than about which blind. That is a more enjoyable conversation than it sounds, and it is worth having in the room with the samples up against the trim.

If your house is in the historic district, what goes in the window is part of the streetscape. We will talk through what reads correctly from the outside as well as what works from the inside. A wider louver and the right white make more difference to the facade than most people expect.

What suits these homes
What we fit most often in Senoia
- Plantation shutters
- The period-correct answer and the most common job in this town. Louver width and finish are the two decisions that matter. We bring the samples so you can hold them against your own trim before choosing.
- Stained wood shutters
- Where the house has original woodwork worth matching rather than covering. A stain that picks up the existing trim keeps the window reading as part of the room.
- Roman shades
- The soft alternative where a hard treatment would be too severe for the room. Made in your fabric, cut to your window, and the right call in a bedroom or a formal front room.
- Specialty-shaped shutters
- For the arched and half-round windows on the older Main Street houses, and on the newer streets built to echo them. Templated from the actual opening so the curve is matched, not approximated.
