Window treatments in Newnan, GA
Newnan is one of the towns we are in most often, and it is one of the more interesting ones to work in: the housing runs from antebellum to built-last-year, sometimes on the same street.

The homes here
Two towns' worth of windows
The historic districts around College and Temple are the reason Newnan is called the City of Homes, and they are also the reason we measure twice there. Windows in a house that has stood since the 1800s are rarely square, frequently taller than anything a big-box store stocks, and often original, which means the treatment has to work without anything being cut into the frame.
Then there is the other Newnan: Summergrove, Arbor Springs and the newer developments east of town, where the windows are consistent, plumb and modern. Those are quick, predictable jobs and they are where a whole-house motorized system makes the most sense, because everything is standard enough to run off one setup.
We quote both the same way: someone comes out, measures every window and tells you what will actually work in that house. The difference is that in the historic district that conversation takes longer, and it should.

If your house is in one of the historic districts, ask us about interior shutters before you consider anything else. They were the original solution for those windows and they still fit the buildings better than anything invented since.

What suits these homes
What we fit most often in Newnan
- Plantation shutters
- The right answer for the older housing stock, and the only treatment that suits a period facade from the outside as well as the inside. We build to the opening, which matters when no two windows in the house are the same size.
- Specialty-shaped shutters
- Arches, angles and transoms are common in both the historic homes and the newer builds imitating them. These are made to a template of your actual window, not ordered from a size chart.
- Real and faux wood blinds
- The straightforward choice for the newer subdivisions where the windows are uniform. Faux wood for bathrooms and kitchens, real wood where the room is dry and the finish is on show.
- Roman shades
- For the formal front rooms the older Newnan houses still have. Made in your fabric and cut to the opening, which matters when the window is taller than anything a store stocks.
