Custom versus ready-made
Why ready-made fabric treatments usually disappoint
Most people who call us about roman shades have already tried the off-the-shelf version. The complaint is almost always the same: it does not fit properly, and it does not look right. Those turn out to be the same problem.
A ready-made shade is built to a standard drop and a standard width, so on your window it is either short, long, narrow or wide, and every one of those reads as an error even to someone who could not tell you what is wrong.
